We are thrilled to be performing live again this season!  We have an innovative and exciting series, and we will be going with the FLOW a little bit, so please check back for updates on venues and dates.  See you soon!

The Bucket List

Our first full length program of the new season will feature quartets that we JUST WANT TO PLAY!  Its been a long 18 months, and we are so happy to be back together and back to performing for all you! We chose a program of 2 quartets on our bucket list, Grieg's Quartet Op. 27 and the Brahms C minor.

Due to extenuating circumstances, we have had to change the program for our performances in February.  The new program will include an appearance by the Schultze-Ericsson Cello Duo, who will play some Kummer and Gliere,  as well as  duets for violin and cello by Paganini and Viotti, some Bach from the solo cello suites, and a brand new arrangement of The Entertainer for solo violin. The program will conclude with a Handel trio for violin, cello and continuo.  It is a little different but it will be great!  Come embrace the change!

Opera for String Quartet

Some opera composers wrote opera even when they were writing string quartets!  This program is dedicated to quartet music written by composers famous for their operas.  The program features Hugo Wolf's Italian Serenade, Puccini's Elegy,  and Verdi's String Quartet.

A composer's commentary on war is often subtle and sometimes shrouded, but it is important and lasting.  This program considers the impact of fascism and war on the output of some of our most treasured composers, and the ways in which they communicated messages of resistance and love.  The program includes the Shostakovich Quartet #8, and Beethoven's Opus 95.

At the Movies

Our favorite movies are full of fantastic string quartet music that sometimes goes underappreciated.  This concert presents some of the best quartet movie moments and features Ravel's string quartet, which appears in films more often than you'd think.  If you are a Wes Anderson fan, you have heard this one!  Also included are selections from Knives Out, There Will Be Blood, and more.
